As newsrooms face budget cuts, sustained investigative coverage of anti-science groups and the funding networks behind them has thinned. Worse, misinformation and unsupported fringe narratives have a way of working their way into mainstream coverage.

The flip side of that, however, is that in order to continue this work, we urgently need to raise funds. Journalism like this takes resources and time to produce. Each meticulous report requires days—sometimes weeks—of research, writing, fact-checking and editing.

Making a one-time or recurring donation to AJI is the best way to ensure misinformation spreaders don’t get to continue to throw the health of our communities under the bus to serve their greed—at least not without facing accountability.
